I bought an 1807 half cent a few weeks back and the guy said he thought it might be an 1807/7 overdate, but wasn't sure. I can see a little something on the bottom right side of the seven extending outwards, but with no extensive literature on this type of coin, I an unable to confirm what exactly it is, if anything. The pics are as close as I could get with the camera I have, so I appologize. If anyone has any ideas, or can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

I can see what you are talking about and I do not know what it is, but I will say cool coin! It reminds me of a re-cut 7, but I am not an expert.
