    Hello to all ,
I have come across this 1956-D Lincoln wheatie with what appears to be a clashed die on the obverse under the date ? Any thoughts on what it is and any value on it would be fantastic !

That's not a clash. It has nothing to do at all with a die clash.

That's a planchet issue called a Lamination. It's a common issue on wheat cents.

    Here is some information

It's a small Lamination but nothing to bring a huge premium.

And it is not a mule neither.

Here are 3 Lamination planchet issues from my collection. They are bigger and have a true premium.

Very nice collection you have there ! I could swear those are letters on my coin though, just looks that way I guess.

Yes to what Paddy said, it’s a small lamination. If you are seeing letters it’s just your imagination. And definitely not a mule cent.
