Possible Jefferson double die?

Let me first start off by saying I'm by no means an expert in error type coins at all, please excuse the newb like questioning.

Today, like many other days decided to photo some coins and decided to photo a 1961 Jefferson that I had in my album for quite some time. It's nothing special just a common grade, common date coin. But after imaging it I began to load it in my PhotoScape to crop the photo like I always do. But i noticed some possible machine doubling. So i took a closer look and it appears to be prevalent in much of the coin both the obv and rev.

To me (and like i said i'm very novice at double die coins) it doesn't appear to be machine doubling but more rounded much like an actual double die. But i'm not aware of any 1961 double die errors to my knowledge.

Please feel free to respond, any assistance is much appreciated.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

I can't answer your question, but want to say those are great pics.

Indeed. GREAT pics! I am unaware of a 61DD, so it probably is machine doubling. Unfortunately, a cherrypicker's guide is on my "to buy list", and not on my "books I own" list so I can't check it out for you. But I'm sure we'll get a definite answer.
