May I ask for guidance identifying this object? Ford Galvano (1) - Copy.JPG Ford Galvano (2) - Copy.JPG
    Here are the clues:
It comes from a medal collection of mostly art medals, with some US Mint and religious medals included. An estate executor asked me, as a coin researcher, to identify these medals. This is the one I could not figure out.
The collection included many works by medalist Alex Shagin
This may be a galvano. The collection has three other (what I believe are) galvanos from Jewish American Hall of Fame medals
Unlike most galvanos, however, it is two sided.
Probably epoxy, which is used in recent galvanos instead of bronze.
    Width 6 inches / 155 mm
    Weight 1.5 pounds / 800 grams

Of course, I tried a variety of Google searches on various combinations of "Henry Ford" "1903-2003" "medal" "galvano" but no luck finding a match. May I ask if you have further advice on how to find what this is?

Somewhere around Dearborn, Michigan, is the Henry Ford Museum - email them an image, worst that can happen is they will try to trade you an Edsel for it.

If it didn't say 2003 on it, I'd have guessed it was from the 1930s. Neat medal. I'll be interested to see if anyone can identify it.
