Possible Fake 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter -

    I am not sure but, the initial diagnostic -- the head thru the top of the design, matches up.

    I see nothing really alarming on this coin.

    I would personally would not take a shot at a 5k+ coin without plastic (PCGS,NGC) around it off of ebay. Pictures as I have shown here in the past can be VERY deceiving. No return policy is stated either.

    For coins of this value my policy is, "No reputable slab, no purchase."
    Saves me wasting a lot of time.

    ....and possibly money. To me this is another, why isn't it slabbed coin.

    Since I am a total coward, especially w/ $5,000, I only go for the plastic
    (and then only NGC or PCGS for that pricey coin.)

    It looks genuine to me as well! However, for a coin that rare, I wouldn't buy it unless it was certified and graded by PCGS or NGC.
