I found these and didn't see them on coppercoins.com, but wanted to check and see if they could be DDO's, or if as my luck normally has it they are just some deteriorated dies or machine doubling...

The 1909 show just a bit on the left side of the date, but primarily shows it on the WE in IGWT. A few other minor spots which could be very very slight doubling or just a MD not worth posting pics of.

Same with the 1941, although a bit easier to see, biggest spot I see is the 4 on the date, otherwise no MD that I can see anywhere else on the coin.

    What do you all think?

I don't see anything on the 1909 and the 1941 is machine doubling.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Thanks guys. Just to clarify though I am suprised that you see nothing on the 1909 as I thought it was pretty apparent. What is going on with the very start of the W?? Cause it ain't right...! :)
    Thanks!

Most likely that W is for a worn Die&MD

Didn't 1909-P cent have master hub doubling?

When the question is something like, "Is the coin a DDO"?. Some of us who have seen thousands of DDOs will simply say there is nothing there, indicating that there is no evidence of a doubled die.

That doesn't rule out slight machine doubling or die deterioration doubling.

In any case, no Doubled Dies this time:)

    Thanks,
    Bill
