    Hi Gang,

I need a little help to know if this old Cdn token half penny is a double strike at the top with the last "N" in penny.

Remember I am a certified watchmaker and know very little about coins though I am learning as much as I can, I am an amateur and I'm not 100% sure yet but I think I'm right about the dble strike.

    My best :)

What on earth is that? Half Penny Token?

Could of been struck over another normal coin. Show us a clear picture of both sides.

I am like @paddyman98 . I have come and looked at this several times trying to draw a clue. Certainly something is going on there. My gut tells me the token was struck over some other coin/token. I too would like to see a full image of the piece.

It's a token overstuck on something.
    Something like this.

Well @wcoins..... That is exactly it. You should change your handle to Sherlock Holmes.

May i assume it makes this piece more collectible and adds a touch more value?

That is a matter of conjecture. The link @wcoins showed exactly your piece with a value they were selling the coin for. You would have a smaller potential buying base because it is a token and market dictates value.
