Possible Clip, North Carolina SQ

    Got this BU quarter from a friend to repay his debt to me. I really can't throw it back into circulation without being sure it's not an error. If anything I'm leaning toward a clip, but I guess it could always be missing the outer layer exposing the copper, missing clad layer I think it's called.

    I hope the debt was not too much. BU state quarters can still be easily found in coin rolls.

    He paid me in quarters, there was no augmented rate because they were BU

    It looks like it took a hit outside the mint but even if it is a mint error, it is so minor that it wouldn't make it into my stock.
