Possible cleaing and fake toned 3 cent silver

I feel this coin may have been cleaned and artificially toned. It is raw. Can someone give the grade and possible value of this coin? Thanks. I would say no more than 125.00.

Where is the coin?

I probably shouldn't say anything......but (for a few reasons) it looks to me like someone has been experimenting chemically with that coin. Of course, my perceptions might be in error.

 

I did not purchase the coin. I kind of feel something is not right myself.

 

Spacefiller.

Scottyb,it looks like someone has dipped it in an attempt to eliminate the very attractive blue-grey toning of a very nice coin.I'd still buy it as a spacefiller if I were you,as the silver 3c. (or 'Trime') is a notoriously difficult coin to find in good order.I've seen a lot of battered ones & ones with the date worn off in my time in the numismatic trade.

I agree, esp the 'splotchy' appearance of the toning.

 

Looks to me as a bad dip job on an Artificially Toned coin in an attempt to revive it.

 

I would gladly pay $125 for it regardless.
