    In 1992 the wide AM was normal and the close AM is very rare.

    This is why I do not collect or search for minor varieties. It’s too confusing.

    This is not a minor variety to me but a major one - most usually go for over hundred dollars on Ebay. It's very easy to see without a loop. All that is needed is to know what to look for.
    With the pictures - it's a close AM (RDV-006) Hopefully its a 1992D. The normal side is RDV-007. Those who don't understand this - Go to http://varietyvista.com/25 What Are Die Varieties/Lincoln Cent Memorial RDV Changes.htm

    The OP coin is not a Close AM.

    The M is equidistant between the A and E/AMERICA.

    The designers’ initials are too far away from the Memorial base.

    We still don’t know what the actual date of the coin is.
    The OP could have supplied a decent close-up but did not do so.
    @Mountain Man …both the 1992 P and D CAM varieties are scarce or rare.
    @furham …your skepticism is vindicated…imo…Spark

    Oh man! Now I'm confused. :confused:
    The only AM I'm used to seeing is on an old radio. ;)

    The designers’ initials distance from the Memorial base is not a sure-fire diagnostic. I have seen this vary widely.

    There is too much space between the legs of the A and M for it to be a bonafide Close AM. This is the main diagnostic PUP…IMO…Spark

    That is a close AM, it has all the attributes, The A in states is not centered, M in America closer to the A than the E, and FG spaced farther from the memorial. The question is whether it is a 1992 D.

    Agreed,that FG is out in space right next to the memorial,to far out for the normal reverse,now let's hope the OP comes back.
