I usually dont look for these on a 1982 cent. But noticed thickness in the lettering. Mainly LIB. Looked on variety vista and found a picture that looks alot alike. What do u all think? 20220412_091645.jpg 20220412_09_14_15.png 20220412_09_13_41.png 20220412_09_13_34.png 20220412_09_13_16.png 20220412_09_12_33.png Screenshot_20220412-091118_Chrome.jpg 20220412_091655.jpg

As a zinc it can only be DDO-002.
Too me it looks like a form of split plate doubling.

The thickness catches many folks but this is a normal cent. You’ll see this thickness on zincs and coppers. I’ve not found 002 in the wild yet, so this die on a rotting Zincoln can cause me to pause.

So, the zinc is rotting away causing the sinking features/details.
