So what do you guys think? List it on eBay as a 1950D Jefferson? Send it to SGS for a slab first? Toss it in the wishing well (aka coin counter)?
It is also a possible 1951-D, 1952-D, 1953-D, 1954-D, 1955-D, 1956-D, 1957-D, 1958-D or 1959-D. Whatever date it is the coin is damaged and worth somewhere around 5 cents.
There is probably a way to find out what year it is from, just check the mintmark, the numbers in the date, the design, etc. I know you can do that with some Lincoln Cents, not sure on nickels though. Send it to SGS, they'll be able to tell you, and then everyone would know for sure, as everyone respects there opinion. Phoenix
