Possible 1945 D Inverted Mint Mark

It does look a little crooked, but I don’t think it is inverted…just smushed.

The coin has had a tough life. Nothing more.

 

It's nothing more than the wear and tear of circulation Larry. The MM is correct, it's a trumpet tail. I would check it for an RPM.
There are a few that could match. Just double check the die markers.
