Does anyone think that star notes pulled from circulation, even in not great and poor condition are worth keeping? I have been pulling alot of 1999 $5 star bills. A couple are torn, but most are just well used. I like them so i will keep them, but do we think they will fetch a premium in the future. I did buy the 6th edition small size us paper money guide/book, but it says little about the more worn notes, only Crisp Uncirculated.
Would love to hear/veiw comments. thanks Drew

Worn bills are pretty useless. Especially torn/creased bills. Unless it has a really low serial number, they are only worth face value.

Just to let everyone know, I work at a bank and see star notes with regularity. PM me if you're looking for anything in particular, and I'll see if I can hunt it down. Please DON'T just post it in the thread as I don't want to violate the forum's BST rule. These forums have been such a great help to me that I'd like to give a little something back to the members.

so far ive found 2 star notes.
    both 1$ bills.

One was in good condition, which i kept.
One was in poor condition, i mean, it looked like it went through the washing machine - i passed on that one, lol.

The better the condition the better off you are . Some star notes have short runs and some very short runs . If you have a short run in a better condition you could have a valuable bill worth a few $$'s !

PM me with series and full serial #'s and I can check them for you .
