1972 D Ike Eisenhower $1 One Dollar NGC POOR 1 PO01 PO1 P01 Condition: -- Price: US $999.99 From $47 for 24 months * $4.99 shipping Think it is worth it
It's worth a dollar to me. Barely. But everyone collects what they like, and as collectors we do quirky things. Some more quirky than others.
Huh???.... I was at my buddies shop today and he had a whole shelf of graded Ike's somebody had brought in. Isn't that somewhat akin to using ten dollar bills to light your fireplace?
I would think you could buy a rock tumbler, load it with a handful of Ike dollars and some grit, and let it run for a few weeks to create your own Poor-1 coins.
I’d rather have one is a MS grade. Why wants that in their collection and who would even submit that to NGC?
Lots of people, apparently. Some people put together low-ball sets consisting of coins like this one. https://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/lo...ts/eisenhower-dollars-low-ball-1971-1978/1965
If it wasn't an NGC holder, I'd have thought it was the PO01 from Photograde: https://www.pcgs.com/photograde/#/Ike/Grades
Getting" my belt sander out after work today and making a few. I may even make a Bicentennial set. 76 Ike Dollar, 76 JFK Dollar, 76 Quarter, 76 Dime, &6 Nickel and the pièce de résistance a 76 All Copper Cent!!!!
There are many things in this hobby I can’t wrap my hands around. Lowball sets may be at the top of the list — especially at some of the prices one sees.
