Poofed Out Dime

    I've never seen anything like this before. In between all the dirt and grime, there are poofed out bubbles.

    Heat damage. The coin may have been in a fire. An air bubble in the metal expanded when the coin was heated causing the bubble.

    Sorry about your dime but I vote for "poofed out" as the best descriptive phrase on CT this year!

    LOL...It is one very ugly dime. :p I was just curious since I'd never run across one with bubbles before. Thanks guys!

    Perhaps a "Poofed out" grade could be given somewhere between a PCGS 69 and 70 ????
