Double struck that is. Hey y'all, here's a cool double struck coin I found a while back at a fun show from Allen Berman for $22. Needless to say I saw it and it was MINE! Haha Anyways thought I'd share it so here it is! Man I love this coin. I did the best I could with the pics... It looks better in person Pontus Amisos Mithradate Eupator, 121-63 B.C. AE23 Obverse: Aegis with Gorgon, doubled Reverse: Nike advancing to the right, doubled Cheers! ~Aidan
Purdy WILD, Aidan! Very cool! Mine Pontic Kingdom, Amisos AE21, 6.95g; 85-65 BC Obv: Aegis with Gorgon head at center. Rev: Nike advancing right carrying palm branch. AMI-ΣOY in field with mongrams. Reference: SNG XI Stancomb 688. Ex: @John Anthony
That is some really dramatic double striking, Aidan! I love it. Now you need a matching single struck coin for contrast. John

Helmeted head of Athena right, helmet decorated with griffin / AMIΣOY Perseus standing holding harpa and head of Medusa, at feet, body of Medusa, monograms to both sides.VF Sea 1166-76 (same).
