Its been a while since I have seen a grading poll, so lets see what you guys give this one. Its a 1941-P Quarter, nothing special, some dark toning.
The coin is pretty clean even if not very attractive. A typical strike for a Washington. I will say a solid MS65.
I think i see some slight wear on the hair around georges ear and on the eagles breast feathers, so I say au58, not on the poll so I am probably wrong, a good example of not grading from photos
Well never really tried to grade one of these - so I am going with 65. It seems to match the description perfectly for a 65 - small blemishes, uneven toning and maybe weakly struck in one spot. I was going to say 64 for toning and what maybe hidden behind it - but will swag it at 65 based off what the ANA grading book says.
Boy, it really looks like a panel of experts here. That is as close as you can get to flat line voting from 62 to 67
A nice quarter you got there. I will say ms 64. The eagles breast and wing show a little wear IMO but a awesome quarter and i cant grade to boot lol.:kewl:
It is my first time trying to grade a coin and I like it this way because it doesnt cost me any money if I am wrong. I said 62
It's not about being right or being wrong. It's all in what you are perceiving. If, in the end, the grade comes in higher or lower than what you determined (or perceived), then it's a learning experience. I applaud your first "foray" into guess the grade......
Well I guess the coin is either a graded MS64 or it is raw. I see the OP's name under the MS64 vote category.
