What do think of these rectangular coins mint in Poland for the small country of Andorra. They are sold out at the mint but available @talismancoins.com for $79 for the Da Vinci and $69 for the Renoir. Do you think they are worth the price? Here are the specs.First is the Da Vinci then the Renoir. Da Vinci 2008 .925 silver 28.28grams only 15,000 minted 40mm-28mm proof with color. Renoir 2008 .925 silver 20,000 minted 40mm-28mm 28.28grams. Thanks for looking Randy.
Hi Randy they are rather lovely and the Polish mint makes some similar Polish ones, the price though not sure if that is good or bad OK the Renoir I would possible go for LOL I did not know that the Polish mint did coins for other countries so thanks for that bit of info :high5:
Have you heard of this site? I also found these coins on this web site. www.eurocollections.com I haven't ordered from them because of the large selection of foreign coins they have. Also about the Polish mint,They also mint for Belorussia,Armenia,Niue Island (never heard of)and Andorra. Thanks RB
Here is a similar piece, minted by the Polish Mint in 2007, this time "for" Niue: Well, they sure do an excellent job, design wise and production wise. Just have a look at http://www.sklep.mennica.com.pl/ (see Monety RP, particularly Monety Srebrne = Silver Coins) or here http://www.nbp.pl/Homen.aspx?f=en/banknoty/kolekcjonerskie/2009.html However, the coins shown in this topic are made solely for collectors. Andorra issues lots of those Diner pieces (1 diner = 100 centims), but the currency is not used except for this one purpose ... Christian
