Here is a survey that was conducted by the Professional Numesmatists Guild (PNG) and offers some interesting evaluation material on the various third party grasing companies. They are graded in various functions and how well each one is "thought" to do in that particular area. Not much has changed in the last couple of years and you might find this data interesting. http://www.bestcoin.com/Coin-Grading-Survey-Results.htm
Thanks for the info olddan.....I see even though some companies rated higher than others, no one rated "outstanding". P.S. OldDan, you see the error lincoln I "named" in honor of your love for the latest flood of bison "errors"?
I went and took a look at the Lincoln cent. Got a question, and that is what magnification do you use to show what appears in those photos? Got to admit that these old tired eyes of mine just don't see all the "errors" that you young guys seem to be finding. I've always said that I only collect "prrfect" coins, but with my eyesight, I could be collecting errors and not know it. Gonna have to watch what I say from now on, I guess. Naaaa!
