PNG Adopts coin doctoring defintion

    Simple enough. Lets hope it makes a difference to some PNG dealers that have been known to doctor coins.

    I don't think it will make any difference at all. The definitions they adopted have been used by the numismatic community for as long as I can remember.

    That never stopped anyone, so I doubt this will.

    My understanding is this is one step in a two step process.

    First is define the term. Done.

    Second is outlaw it for PNG dealers. To be continued....

    Those definitions were what was already known, all this really does is create a referance point, at this point in time...

    Yep, and since this is the PROFESSIONAL NUMISMATISTS Guild, if they dip coins it is not coin doctoring because they are qualified "professionals". But if YOU dip a coin, you are a coin doctor because you are not a "qualified professional". :)

    Ugly coin in the article too! It would be nice if there were laws against it but all I can do is ignore AT or don't buy them. :D
