Screenshot_2015-03-15-02-05-23.png 2006 Nevada State Quarter. There is a slice above the NEVADA next to the rim. I have been going through my coins from the week and I haven't seen anything like this yet. Is it PMD? There is no damage to the inside rim or to the reeded outer. Also no material pushed up or to the sides of the cut from the slice.

Jeremy, it might be a good idea to get photos of all of the State, Territorial & National Parks quarters so that you can compare your finds to them. Then, you will be able to identify what is supposed to be and what is not.

PMD, someone sliced that part of the coin with a knife. I mint error that happened because of the die would always be raised.
