PMD or ?

    This didn't photograph well, but this gouge on the right wheat ear looks more like a planchet defect than PMD. The rim doesn't appear to be affected, and being so old it's hard to tell if the damage has just worn off and isn't apparent and looks like a planchet flaw. What do others think?     Could be just a simple Lamination Crack.
    Common on wheat Cents.
