Found this guy in a very not exciting box of halves this evening. At first I thought cutters (dikes/diags) but then noticed the rim was untouched. It is perfectly overlapping from obv-rev... any ideas? Finger error? Thanks in advance

A pair of "off-set" nippers could produce a cut like this without disturbing the rim.......PMD!

Not familiar with them...I always think of a pair of linesmans or diags (pc spelling) as the culprit and thought this to be odd. Thanks Chris

Some kind of tool of that nature, I'd reckon. Yep. PMD.

PMD Nothing in the minting process that I am aware of would produce something like this.
