http://cgi.ebay.com/Estate-Lot-Box-...585QQihZ007QQcategoryZ544QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I'll bet $100 that *the box* is counterfeit (not to mention what's inside *wink*)
I tried reporting that item #170070339395 to customer support and it said it wasnt a valid item number. Either Ebay is covering up for these scammers or theres something very wrong with their system.....or both!
OK I got it and reported it, now, will it do any good now that some of us have done it? Maybe if its done enough over and over again. I say we should keep after this ebay scammer until shes either kicked off or just gives up.
I reported this coin again earlier today. Hopefully something will be done about it. It is a real shame that so many counterfeit coins have flooded ebay, and that sellers out there will attempt to intentionally deceive buyers. This actually hurts the sales of genuine raw coins as well, because if there is even a possibility that a certain coin could be counterfeited, the average collector will incorporate some implicit risk discount in his/her purchase price of a coin due to the potential that the coin could be fake. Even if the specific coin the collector is purchasing is actually genuine, the final price will be less than it would be if no uncertainty about counterfeits existed. It's all a matter of incorporating uncertainty into the marketplace.
I also reported the item as a fake to Ebay security and also left a message to the seller asking that they should remove the listing . It does relly suck big time , when there is a problem with anything involving Ebay. They must have people that just sit behind a screen all day , picking up peoples complaints and then just doing whatever they feel is necessary. You can never find a person to speak with , their customer service is pathetic , and at some time in the future I believe it will come to a head and change , but this will only happen when someone with big money and big enough balls takes them on and wins for all the little guys.
It is the old Savannah Scammer up to her old tricks again! She's been reported so many times it isn't funny.I am not sure how many times she has been NARU'd & allowed back on eBay again. I wonder if she has been NARU'd from www.overstock.com again. Aidan.
Great idea... Keep the cards and letters coming in! Enough people gang up on this (insert favorite colorful term here), maybe we can have an impact.
