I like Eisenhowers, but don't have a lot of knowledge regarding the various S mint marks. I found a lot on Ebay of all 32 Eisenhowers from 1971 to 1978 including all S mint marks. Bought it on a buy it now for $110. I have seen 1971 and 1972 silvers go for at least $10 each. The lot I purchased is not in a album, coins are in cardboard coin holders. Did I pay too much or, without seeing the actual coins, does it sound like I did ok? Thanks!
I cannot comment on your purchase until you have received it & can provide more information about the coins. The important thing is that you like the coins.:smile At the price you paid, I hope that you receive some high grade examples and some silver. Here is a thread I started recently descussing an Ike collection: http://www.cointalk.com/t223412/ The thread shows a technique for determining if a coin is silver or clad.
