please look at this 66 Quarter

    Hi again.. well how about this one.. check out the date.. the 66 looks different,the 9 too a little.. anything??? at all .. :whistle:

    Does look like the 6 and the 9 are narrowing as they join from the loop. I looked at a 66 I have and its solid. Don't know what it means, but .......... Could just be a shadow that I am seeing in your pic too I guess.

    WOO HOO... You did see it.. great... nope it's not a shadow.. it's made that way... now.. wonder what it is?

    I just dug out three 1966's from my jar of "interesting" pocket change. They are all pretty worn copies, but all exhibited a difference in the 2 6's where the loop closes. The second 6 narrows while the first 6 has a more solid join. If they were in better condition I think they would look like your sample.
