I´m from Cuba and I happen to have a friend who holds a bronce american cent from 1848 and another gold from 1899. Can anyone tell me what are those worth? thank you
Value depends on many factors, including date, mint mark, condition, rarity, and demand. An 1848 bronze cent is valued in the 2003 Red Book from $12-200. Is the 1899 gold coin a $2.50 quarter eagle (~$135-5,000), a $5 half-eagle (~$140-9,250), a $10 eagle (~$200-11,000) or a $20 double-eagle (~$375-18,000)?
