Value depends on many factors, including date, mint mark, condition, rarity, and demand.

An 1848 bronze cent is valued in the 2003 Red Book from $12-200.

    Is the 1899 gold coin a $2.50 quarter eagle (~$135-5,000), a $5 half-eagle (~$140-9,250), a $10 eagle (~$200-11,000) or a $20 double-eagle (~$375-18,000)?
