I found this in a river bank in Vietnam and think that it's quite rare, perhaps in Vietnam only. please tell me if there are lot of them in US? http://www.henritours.com/gallery/view/12/Old-Coin.html
Your link is very slow to load. It was the same way with the other photos from another thread, too. Any time I try to open a page and it takes longer than 15 seconds, I cancel it. Chris
even if it is a cast copy there are a few people who collect them, for educational purposes, (I am not one of them BTW). I do not know what prices people get for them, but they do trade, just make sure to mention that it is a cast copy.
I already told him this in the other thread he started about this same coin. http://www.cointalk.com/t110978/
I knew it was a fake before I even opened the links to see the coin. He said he found it, Vietnam. lol
I know it's hard for people to hear bad news that something they is valuable, and if it were real it would hold a small amount of value, is a worthless fake. Live and learn!
The sad thing is that even if it were REAL, in that condition it would only sell for melt or about $15.
I agree it looks fake but wonder what a Morgan would look like after being in a river for many years?
