Found this bill last night. How is this error classified? Is it common? Does it have any value? I don't have any experience or knowledge of paper currency. Any information and additional resources would be appreciated.

That would be, I believe, classified as a 90 degree clockwise rotational error, . It's more common here than one would hope to see. It actually detracts from the value of the note (sometimes as much as 25%!), but the good news is that it can be corrected rather easily with basic image editing software.

All joking aside, I'm not sure why you think the note is special/different in any way other than having been spent a few times. Would you like to help us out by pointing out what specifically you think is wrong with it?

The 1 in the right hand serial number is offset. Don't know if added value.

It is an out of register digit. No far enough out to command any premium, though. Just as all of those holding the note prior to you receiving it knew, it's a spender.
