Found in coin lot, sorta unusual design. About the size and weight of Morgan Dollar, with reeded edge, silver content unknown. I would like to know more about this pattern. The reverse looks early 1918 ?... Any info, please. Thank You

Technically it is a Medal. Coins are currency issued by or for a government and Tokens are private issue but by definition give one the ability to trade the token for a service or commodity.

I did a quick search and found the same "medal" on Ebay. I don't think it's silver. The seller had 8 of them and was selling them at $1.99 starting bid. Seller did not state what the metal content was. Hope that helps a bit more.

looks as if little is known about the design of this medal. I've seen the reverse design some where, possibly on a button. ebay auction ,not much interest ,as noted bids for medal. would have better chance to sell if someone knew what they were selling... thanks everyone
