do you think it is a high grade for example 65+ on the schelden scale. i know that it might be a lil difficult bfor you coz u dont use that scale but gie it a shot anyway
I would think MS63 ... Right side of the obverse has what appear to be scratches... If thats the case it might even be AU58... Just my 2 cents...
Nice sovereign. It looks like at 3, 6 and 9 and 12'o clock there are either minor foil marks. Or it may be removed from a jewelry, thus minor jewelry clasp marks. Also, the king’s hair and his beard indicates that it may be a victim of ‘gold dusting’. Do you know the exact weight of this sovereign? Regards Ballabh Garg
Would it be possible for some enlarged photos? (I did click on them and it enlarged them a little) I would hate to undergrade it, and I would like to give it the attention it deserves! Larger pictures would make it a bit easier to accurately make a grading opinion, but yes, MS 63 is as high as I would go without seeing it a bit better. A nice looking piece for sure! DAK
