I know these pictures aren't the quality most of you post, but I only have an iPhone5 so it's probably the best I can get.
That being said I would like any and all comments concerning this coin. I didn't post in the What's it Worth Forum because, I'm more interested in grade and I already bought and I'm happy with it and the price, but feel free give your opinion on what it's worth as well.
I'm not a quarter collector nor do I pretend to be an expert so that's why I am turning to my CT friends. A friend of mine had a bunch of junk silver he carried to the gold and silver buyer but wasn't happy with their offer. So I bought all he had after he sold a bunch to my 12 year old nephew. He only wanted melt for them (not this one though) and he knew my nephew collected so he gave him first chance them. He spent a couple of hundred he made working for me, then offered me the rest. The seller also knew the 32D was more valuable and my nephew went with quantity because he is stacking and also because he likes my nephew he gave him a better deal than me.
Thanks in advance for your comments and I will post my estimated grade and what I paid for it after see what y'all think.

Ungradeable with the pics at hand. Try again, and allow a little less light.........

That D looks a little funky to me. If its authentic it looks AU55 or 58.

I'll try different lighting. If I can figure out to adjust it.

I agree with this 100%. I can't even see much detail on the coin, much less luster, etc.

I agree on the MM - it looks funky to me also.

I don't know about the MM, either. If genuine, Au something.

I don't know if these are any better but I tried. I couldn't get a close up of the MM but would like to know what about MM makes you question it? Like I said I'm not expert but it looks normal under a loop. ( at least to me )

the mint mark looks to be correct, but typically on 1932 D and S quarters, the mint mark should look like it is sitting in a depression, and to an untrained eye might look to be added. That said, this one does appear to be in a depression, and does look to be the correct shape and size. Being that this is a key date coin, I would have a few experts examine the coin to determine it's authenticity.

I would note that the luster looks really washed out, but that may just be the photograph. If this is an accurate depiction of this coin's luster, it was likely cleaned a long time ago because it shows signs of some dark streaks in places where it has re-toned in the intervening years.

MM was added to coin then re plated to hide heat marks from heat of solder. IMHO

I would disagree. The mint mark looks like it was added on a genuine coin. It is what I look for when authenticating a 1932 D or S.

Based on the second set of pictures, I'd say you have an AU something and maybe MS. I can't really offer an opinion on authenticity. If genuine, I'd say this is probably your find of the year. :)

Not an expert on quarters but I personally wouldn't touch this coin myself. As to my eye way to many issues .

I appreciate all the replies and I think I will send it to PCGS just to get it authenticated as I don't know any experts excepts here on CT. I thought it would go AU55 when I saw it but I think it could slide low MS. I gave $80 (his price) since I bought everything he had.

I've seen some Washingtons with that type of color not sure why or how they get to look like the way they do but I'd grade it 55.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Coin looks genuine to me. The mintmark looks ok.

    I'd grade it AU-53.

Wow, I'm not agreeing with the folks who put it in AU or MS. I think it's an EF-45. It seems to me there is some wear on the obverse, on Washington's hair. It could be the coloring, however.

It is not a particularly attractive color / toning, but it does have a great technical grade.

I'm not great at spotting counterfeits, but I think you should send this in for authentication / slabbing.

I am pretty sure it's real, but I agree sending it in would reduce the amount of concern were I ever to try and sell it. It maybe a couple of weeks before I do, but I will let everyone know how it returns.
