As a newbie I am still learning. I picked these two coins from a local dealer. They were cheap but wanted to add to my small collection.

Coin 1: 1908 Indian Head Penny Images do not do coin justice. Head Dress feathers are defined and Liberty. On back even the horizonal lines in the shield are crisp. Image does not depict that well.

Coin 2: 1903 V Nickel it is well circulated but some thing you cannot see in the image obverse is you can read liberty.

I didn't really buy these for because I thought they were worth a lot, I know they are not. But to give me an idea of various grades. I may of got ripped I payed $1.50 each and just picked them out of a box.

Cents and nickels are not my forte but I'll take a stab at it for you. The cent I would say is VF - maybe $1.50. The nickel - AG/G a dollar.

Using "Photograde" I would say the Indian head is VF and the V nickel G
