since i am new here and am unsure of the rules pertaining to listing another's ebay "fake" item, i will simply say; i see many fakes available on ebay EVERY WEEK, MANY with bids for good money, sometimes several hundred dollars! EDUCATION is your only real defense, if you don't have that education, consult with one who does :loud:BEFORE buying that note!
it's easy to get caught up in errors, they are a fascinating and fast growing area of the hobby. with all of the money some of them bring, it's easy to see why the bottom-feeders come out by the droves to feed on the impatience of others! IF YOU LEARN FIRST, YOU WON'T GET BURNED FIRST! this week the total of money spent on fakes that i am aware of on ebay is tipping over $800.00, maybe it's not a million bucks...... but someone worked hard for it!

Well said sir, and once you stick around here long enough, you'll see plenty of Fake Ebay threads pop up.

If it's fake and you know it or even heavily suspect it post a link Lew.

We at CT have gotten a fair share of ebay auctions removed this way.

Sellers generally have no idea just how closely they ARE being watched.

Did I miss something, when did they start printing Series 2008 notes?

I think this seller is mis-stating the nature of the error, but provided the error is a genuine Insufficient Ink 2nd Printing, then his pictures are sufficient to help make sure anyone with half a brain doesn't get completely burned.

Don't get me wrong, his auction description is completely innaccurate, but I don't think he is intentially scamming anyone (provided the note is genuine), just a case of a seller who didn't bother to do any research into what they have.

There are worst sellers out there.
