I read an earlier thread about the clips and this one seems to have all the PUPs. Tapered rim, stretched lettering, fits the size of an adjacent coin and the edge is not exactly smooth.

    Thanks again.

yes. how much depends on how big the clip is. when it comes to clips thats kind of a small one. nice coin though. you didnt find that in your change did you?

That is actually a double clip. The thin rim in front of Lincoln's nose is due to a second minor clip. Nice find!

What I started doing this year was to go through several Whitman books and a Box of coins left by my Mom in 1980. I also had a couple of 3# coffee cans of small change from around (the most recent coins were 1981). I was putting the better ones in flips and thinking about selling duplicates on eBay. I wanted to see if I could build 2 sets for my grown kids. Anyway, that cent was in a coffee can. Found some interesting Mercuries today too. Another 1925 S, a 1928 S that looks like a large S and a couple of 1943 S that might be Trumpets. I figure it will take all year, maybe longer to get through the junk. But it's interesting. I was really happy with the 1964 D Washington DDR ! And I think there were a couple of type C's, but I will need to get them to a dealer to check them.

    Thanks !
