I got this Buffalo Nickel for free at the FUN YN Seminar. At first I thought the crack was definitly PMD, but my brother thought it might be a planchet error? What do you think? Thanks for your help.:hail:  Edge:http://s181.photobucket.com/albums/x314/coinman101/?action=view¤t=Buffaloenickelplancheterror006.jpg Reverse:http://s181.photobucket.com/albums/x314/coinman101/?action=view¤t=Buffaloenickelplancheterror004.jpg Obverse:http://s181.photobucket.com/albums/x314/coinman101/?action=view¤t=Buffaloenickelplancheterror007.jpg
I have an interesting North Carolina quarter that has a similar characteristic. It looks like part of the quarter was peeled off and shaped back before being struck. It's weird. I found it in change a while back, but haven't taken it to my dealer yet. This will remind me to do so on my next trip. I wish I could get a good picture of it. It's really crazy looking.

Well, judging by bqcoins', Treashunt's comments, and the poll results, I am going to assume that my nickel is a planchet error. Any ideas on value?
