There are alot of ways to get change, which do not involve collectors or eBay. I know there are Cash Registers, the Bank, Mint, the "coin return" on the Pepsi Machine, and I hear you get CHANGE from the CoinStar. How is this possible? I thought you get a reciept that u give to Cutsomer Service.
I think when people are talking about getting change from a coinstar machine they are talking about checking the reject bin. This is where foreign coins, coins with an improper electronic signiture, seriously damaged coins, and non-coins are returned to the person putting money into the machine. Most people just ignore the returned coins and this is what people collect. It is my understanding that the machines regularly reject the Sac dollars, making it worthwhile to check the machine every time you go past it.
I check the CoinStar every time I go to the store. Usually if there is anything its a sticky memoriol cent or some Canadian coin, maybe a ChuckEcheese token. But every now and then............ This was one of the best days take.
And that's what I do at the grocery store every week. I've found, in the last 6 months, a 2 eurocent piece, numerous Canadian coins, a few wheat cents, a few non-silver nickels from the 1940s, and a small number of silver dimes.
