can anyone tell me places i can buy coins and places i should stay away from...for example is littleton coin company somewhere you would buy from or stay away from?..
Stay very far away from Littleton. Anywhere else you go will be alot cheaper. As far as good places to go, Ive been keen on coinbug lately.
I wouldn't touch littleton with a ten foot pole, as well as stay away from the tv coin guys and the ads for people to sell you gold, and 90% of the ads in the magazines, there is one especially that uses the vg7 grade, that I have purchased from one time and was unsatisfied with the grade versus price.
One thing to keep in mind as you go through this thread is that overpaying a bit for coins isn't the worst thing you can do in this hobby. The really expensive errors are in buying overgraded and cleaned coins sold as "brilliant uncirculated" or some such description. If you pay 30% too much for a high quaity coin and actually receive one, you at least still own a high quality coin.
Yes - stay away from littletons and the TV guys. I would probably also avoid coast to coast - but that is a personal opinion on certain types of coins.
