I have a website linking to places to buy ancient coins: http://augustusmath.hypermart.net/dealers.html The important sites are mentioned along with many obscure sites. I try to keep it up to date, but minor sites come and go so there may be some broken links. I also recommend you join the AncientCoinMarket (ACM-L) Yahoo group: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ACM-L/info which allows members to post that they have coins for sale (and you can even post want lists). You can, if you choose, get e-mails from them daily, or every time coins are offered (I do this--I don't want to be too late). This is about the only way I know to find out about individual collectors selling fixed price coins that are not on major sites.
Thanks for putting the list together! To others... Are you new to ancients? Maybe you want to get started? Check out the above link!
Okay. I fixed the dead links Ken pointed out to me (in a CoinTalk personal message). Let me know if there are other dead links or sites I failed to list. I am intentionally not listing vcoins or MA-Shops dealers one-by-one.
Thank you. Looks like an excellent and comprehensive list - very helpful if I'm looking for something specific and can't find it in my regular haunts. Unfortunately I don't have enough discretionary spare time to spend in another list, but let me know how it goes.
That link is so dangerous. I thought I'd take just a little peak...I mean, how harmful could one quick look be? Well....it only took 10 minutes for me to part with some cash for a coin. Let this be a warning to the rest of you. Stay away from those sites unless you want to be stricken by the purchase of another beautiful ancient coin for your collection. Don't say I didn't warn you.
