PL or Not Morgan Silver $

    Are these PL or not and what would you grade them at ?

    They both could be , but the Phili coin appears stronger . One way to tell is if you put a scale next to it and if you can read it at about 3 to 4" . I'd have to look up the exact minimum needed to be considered PL or DMPL .

    Yeah PL is probably for me. I do not think they can be DMPL. I do have some older PCGS Morgan's that was slab with the grade PL and again they don't look like PL to me, but that is what PCGS grade it at. I will see if I can them out from my box and take a pic for you all to see. I use to buy alot Morgan Silver Dollars, but now funds are short.

    Mostly from my local coin shop. I have been buying for a long time. In the early days price was more cheaper than now. More collectors are collecting older stuff and a lot of them starting to cherry pick them.
