    Hello everyone.

Let's get this outta the way.

*****I DO know the difference between mint-manufactured/handled proofs and proof-like surface appearances of business strikes so no finger-waving and lectures ...please. Actual proof Morgans are WAY outta my price range.*****

Dedicated life casual...now 60's senior collector here. HUGELY more +++ dedicated now with fewer years to enjoy on the back end of the Bell Curve.

Re entering the hobby post-retirement I decided to continue focusing on keys and proofs.

For Morgan dollars I completed a set of circulated (some EXTREMELY circulated tickling low ball) key dates. Only missing was 1893S despite numerous chances to buy (and some close negotiation to no end)...but I just could not stomach plunking down $2-4K for a near low ball and faint date despite a CAG sticker. Overall I was very happy considering I fancy myself as a non-conformist and doing my own thing.

After LOTS of "reading and studying on my own"... I focused on PL (and DMPL) graded Morgan dollars.

Enter PL/DMPL Morgan dollars. I decided to purchase a few early-date Morgans from my PNG Dealer Listings, descriptions and photographs. My coins should arrive shortly BUT I'm concerned.

I purposely strove to avoid the mainstream of collecting BUT if close-enough PL/DMPL in huge-*ss silver dollars strike my fancy I fear being sucked into the huge vortex of Morgan dollar collecting.

NOT that it's a BAD thing!
