I wish PCGS would designate PL for the Kennedys like NGC does. I have this 1970-D that is proof like. Is it worth crossing or leave it alone? IMG_2682.JPG

Hard to see the PL in that picture.

    Also, how is the reverse?

To PL it has to be both sides.

It's really hard to capture, this is the best I can do. IMG_2696.JPG

If your certain, then send it for crossover and let the pro's decide.

BTW, showing "prooflike" reflectivity, is next to impossible from a PCGS slab. Coins which have very nice strikes are often confused with "proof like".

Judging from your pictures, I see a nice strike but I'm not seeing proof like.

But, if your sure, then send it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

    Yeah, that's the gamble.

Nice looking but it doesn't look PL to me. The obverse maybe close but not the revers and both sides must be to get the PL.

At what distance from the fields can you clearly read reflected 12pt newspaper type? Has to be everywhere in both fields.

The obverse at least 2". It's hard to tell because of the holder. But the reverse maybe not so much.

The definition I hold to for PL/DMPL is 4-6" of reflectivity (of 12pt newspaper type) for PL, and 8"+ for DMPL.
