She's Dead! She's Dead! The (edited) Is Dead!

pjd1966 aka Pamela J. Donnelly has been NARU'd by eBay! Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!

For confirmation, see just one of her less-than-honest auctions to see those magic words, "Not A Registered User":

Thats good news Fred. Sad to say though someone still paid dearly for the coin. For their sake I hope it's real.

Pjd1966 is booted off of EBay. I reported her yesterday for three violations of the coin policy and today she is booted and all her 500 some odd listings are gone. Man I have been after this woman for over two years..'Silverfox

I cannot quit laughing about pdj1966. I just joined your site to report this great news. But I have enjoyed reading your threads here for some time as I have been a collector for over 60 years. I was selling sealed proof sets on EBay until I ran into Dear Pamela and her ( edited ) may I say husband Jim. I was appalled at the people getting ripped by this team of ( edited ). One guy was ripped for 15 thousand big ones. Well she may come back under another name but she better not say Looks all good to me. Silverfox

Guys - congratulations are in order ;)

However - you will notice that certain words have been edited. It does'nt matter how deserving or accurate these words may have been - as they were used it was still a violation of Forum rules. And if I'm nothing else - I am fair. I treat ALL equally.

BTW - Welcome to the Forum Silverfox !! Sorry I had to edit your first post.

Most likely the ( edited & edited ) is not dead, just temporarily vanquished. She is the (edited) of the (edited) (edited) (edited). And a (edited) (edited) (edited) (edited). I hope she (edited) (edited) (edited) (edited).

Anyway at least eBay finally dealt with the (edited) and her (edited) (edited) ways.

    P.S. I pre-edited this to reduce administrative workload. :p

And I tuly do appreciate the effort :D

One thing to watch out for in the future is retribution. This seller can easily re-register as another person (may already have a second seller ID) and start all over again. They might take it upon themselves to hunt down the Ebay ID's of everyone that caused them problems and bid on their auctions just to leave bad feedback or email people bidding on your auctions saying bad things about you. Some folks can hold a grudge for a long time....

Yes, she could establish a new ID, but I doubt this she-tiger can change her stripes so easily. Hundreds of new auctions with poor photos of 2x2s with "rare" or "proof" written on the margins, vague and deceptive "Looks all good to me" estate descriptions, and righteously indignant responses to negative feedbacks are her mark in trade which would identify her in very short order.

If she already has an established alternative ID with a fair number of feedbacks, it seems to me a waste of this ID to use it for retribution. A brand new ID would be quickly NARU'd if she were to use it solely for revenge since a new non-paying user would be rapidly identified. Alternatively, she might already have several established alternate usernames of which she might pick one to sacrifice to avenge her good name, but she would have to burn it out with a terribly large number of negative feedbacks to nail all the people who complained against her.

In any instance, if she comes back with an alter-ego, it's gonna take her awhile to build up to Power Seller level... if she survives undetected that long. I may be overly optimistic, but I don't think she's gonna be back anytime soon, at least operating in the manner as she did.

    Unfortunately, it's NOT real.

Unfortunately, it is rather easy to become a power seller. All that is required is a feedback rating of 98% and more than $1000/ month in average sales over any 3 month period. She could become a power seller again in just 3 months! (If she really wants too.)

Here's to hoping she just slinks away with her tail between her legs!

Man some of these people lost tons of money. I loved the fake Pine Tree shilling she had up for sale almost bid on it myself. Lol. I am in the process of finding where to file class action suit so I can tell the people I am in contact with how to file.
The three auctions that I reported her for were two so-called Vatican gold coins sorry no Lira on either of them and a .999 fine fake seated half no date. You can see what people bid on and price etc. by typing in Google search pjd1966 and scrolling down to the Chinese site and hit translate.

    Follow Up

    I posted this on WINS
But it is somthing we all need to succeed

    Troops
You have done a wonderful job in removing a "BAD seller"
From eBay. Now I have one question.

Have we taken as much time to thank eBay for listening as we did for not listening?
I have sent them a letter of thanks.
If we don't follow up and express our gratitude as a Society or even as Collectors, Than why should they listen to our complaints?

I for one am grateful to all of you who were instrumental in this process and would like to thank you. It protects newbies like me.

But if we are to "keep the sky safe"

We need to rearm by letting The eBay folks- (even though they know little about coins), that we are grateful for their assistance in protecting their customers.
    Burned Customers rarely return

You know as far as EBay is concerned and giving them an atta boy is far from my concern.
Where are they now when these people are out thousands and thousands of dollars?
A lot of them do not know they have been ripped off and may never know.
Could it be that the class action lawsuit against EBay had something to do with their decision to boot pjd1966? Go to ebayersthatsuck.com and look at the class action.

Silverfox, I don't think the class action suit had anything to do with eBay's decision to suspend pdf1966 since it hasn't been filed yet and I don't think the threat of such a suit would influence eBay. BTW, here's the URL for eBayer That Suck's proposed suit:
    http://www.ebayersthatsuck.com/main/index.php?ait_p=1 .

My own feeling is that even though eBay is a giant corporation, it still responded to pressure to get rid of Pamela Donnelly, albeit it took awhile. We can only continue to encourage this responsiveness on eBay's part by sending a short "Thankew" note. It certainly cannot hurt and it even might give eBay even more incentive to weed out these fraud sellers.

I agree that the poor people who were scammed by pjd1966 should be recompensated as much as possible for their losses. Unfortunately, in fraud cases such as these, there usually isn't much money left in any of the accounts of the person who committed the fraud, so a lot of people who lost money will see, at best, only a few pennies on their dollar; the only account over which eBay has any control is PayPal and I doubt Pamela kept much more than a token amount in her account, having deposited, I might presume, her ill-gained assets into untouchable offshore accounts. She is a fraudmaster of course and, probably knowing that she would be caught sooner or later, almost certainly protected her money. If she has any money in stateside banks, it would require court action to get it released to those whom it properly belongs.

Man that usmint site is jammed with people buying the new nickels. It took me a half an hour to place an order. What do you people think about buying the dollar rolls? I have not because they are not very popular and were supposed to be discontinued from what I heard. What are your thoughts?

    Silverfox -

Please - when you make a post like this, try to stay on topic. There are currently two other threads about the new nickels - you should have made this post on one of them. This thread is about an ebay dealer - not nickels or the US Mint.
