After reading posts on my thread about nickels I think I'm gonna go through my 60's nickels and get rid of them. You will see from my pic just how many of these I found. LOL I wasn't sure which ones I should keep because I'm really new to this and can't remember what is worth what. I think I'm going to take my books to work with me. Anyways I know that alot of these coins leave something to be desired. This first picture is of the holey walking liberty (that is what it is isn't it?) It's my first one of these so even though it's in bad shape I'M KEEPING IT! LOL Also these are my first 40% silver kennedy halfs (by the way I'm a Kennedy myself!) The second picture is of my foreign coin finds today. Not worth anything I'm sure but I just think it's interesting the coins I find in circulation here in the U.S. The third pic is of the wheaties I got today. Again not in good condition but had to add it to my list of finds for the day. This 4th picture is of my 40's and 50's Jefferson Nickels. The last picture is of my pile of 60's Jefferson Nickels that I wasn't sure if I should save or not so I kept them. I'll probably go through them tonight and fill my Jefferson Nickel folder and then get rid of the rest. Not as great as some of the things that all you guys find I know. I'm not ready to go out and buy coins yet though because I don't know about values and I don't want to spend too much so I figure coins at face value I can't get hurt with. LOL
These all came from the changer bags. The nickel bag was full so I went through it before I closed it up and then traded out for what I bought. The half dollar bag wasn't full yet so I just took it off and went through it and replaced what I got. The thing is I even have to pay to replace the foreign coins so if it came out of a nickel bag I pay 5 cents for it cuz that's the amount the customer got for it. The 3 wheat pennies I seen as I was putting a customers change through the changer and just bought from them.
