    Not bad, Tony.
A little fuzzy, but you're getting there.
    Keep up the good work.

It looks like a religious medallion of some kind, and the legend appears to be 3rd Centennial of the Founding of the Philippine Devout Masters.

Is there some Catholic order which was founded in the Phillipines before 1700?

Perhaps a picture of the other side would shed some light on the matter. :D

Don't think this "Filippini" refers to the Philippines (in Asia). The medal seems to be about the tercentennial of the "Pontifical Institute of the Religious Teachers Filippini (Maestre Pie Filippini)", founded by Santa Lucia Filippini. I don't know anything about the institute but see this link http://www.cmswr.org/member_communities/Filippini.htm for example ...

Does anyone know where I can find a Smiley showing "operating mouth before putting mind in gear", or "putting foot in mouth by jumping to conclusion"?

If you come across one ... forward it to me. I could have used such a smilie many times before ;-)
