Went to NYINC on Friday. Its not really my speed (too pricey for most stuff), it was crowded, and I had to leave early. Still I made some good pickups. Lets start with these: 5 Mark Prussian & Bavarian. I have a hard time finding these at normal shows, & was happy for find these (& the Wurttenburg) 5 Mark Wurttenberg, Swiss 5 Franc 1889. I was complaining on another thread about the Swiss 5FR availability, but there were about 8 at this show. I picked one that was affordable, looked original & had eye appeal. 2 Shillings: 1839 & 1909. 1927 Aussie Florin & my first Philharmonic Finally, a 1918 GB florin & a 3 mark Prussian. It certainly was fun & I had a good time. Your thoughts?
Nice ones. I wish i could go to it again. I won a group lot at Triton but won't get to see them for a while.
It is on my bucket list, - to participate in a coin show like that and present my collection - buy an 100, 000 dollar coin at HA floor session - treasure hunting with a best equiped yacht.
Looking at Heritage, would seem German material is pretty weak, about a third of the lots didn't meet reserve. I like your 1927 Parliament house Florin.
