The bank had about 25 of them but I could only afford to pick out 6. Too bad the 1928 has marks on it. The 1950 may go back.
The best notes are the 1928 and the 1934 with the lime green treasury seal. Those have a premium in value because of the colour of the seal. The St. Louis note is a bit more desirable because the district is slightly scarcer than say Chicago. The Series 1950-D was actually printed and circulated ca. 1963 - anything post 1934 I just spend unless they are star notes - I did find a Series 1950-E $50 star back in 2008 at a bank and turned around and flipped it on eBay for $300.
I like the lime ones as well. There were more '34s but they were not in as good condition. Too bad the '28 has those pink marks on it. That one could be worth a bit, according the book I have.
Did they have anymore of those lime seal ones? I'd get all 25 before they are gone. Sell the ones you don't want to us
nice notes! yesterday i got 4 but they were all low-grade 1934s. they also had 2 fifties (also low grade 1934s) go back and buy the other 19 if you can, then spend/sell anything you cant afford to keep
Great finds. I love the lime green seal! I highly doubt they would. $1900 in large bills is a lot of money for a teller to sit on. When I was a bank teller back in 2007-08, the most the tellers could have in the possession was just over $12K. So...that would have been an awfully large percentage of that.
When you are a bank teller...and all you do is work with money. Setting aside 15% of your allotted cash for an extended period of time is a large percentage.
Anybody have idea of value? I also found a jar full of $100' s. $8100 total. It has star notes. Also has consecutive series numbers. Does this add value. They look brand new.
