I came in to my usual bank today to see if the tellers had anything for me. I was in for an excellent surprise! Earlier in the day a man had come in and deposited a large number of old bills from series 1950-1950C. Mostly $10s, but some $5's, $20's and a $50, too. Just over $300 in all. I couldn't afford to buy the entire lot at the moment but I had enough to make a few exchanges. I picked up the following notes: $1 1963B, B--H (Barr note!) $1 1985, C--C $5 1950, G--A $5 1950A, H--A $5 1950B, G--D $5 1950B, I--A (Minneapolis has the lowest run for this series: 20.8M) $5 1950C, I--A (12.9M) $10 1950, I--A (18.8M) $20 2004, EF--* (my first $20 star) I know that most of these notes are of little value over face (though the 1950B Minneapolis is still quite crisp) but I was very excited to make these finds at the bank! I enjoyed the find and that's what this hobby's supposed to be about, right? Anyway, I just wanted to share! Thanks for looking!
Nice finds, although I probably would have left the 20 and got some more of the old notes, but whatever floats your boat
After looking at the $10.00 1950 series I/A I still like that bill. I hate when someone has to put the bill on its side not landscape type photo. Just my quirk.
