Ya I pick alot of coins and it's crazy what go's in the junk bowl. This is a 1960 D/D Sm over Lg Date DDO. I picked maybe 25 of this type of coin in the pass 3 years. I think it's a $200 coin in a holder. Thanks for looking.

Question, It looks like a small date over large, but I don't see where it's a D/D. Is it not an example of a die that was small over large, with the mintmark added after?

    Great Picture

That is the best picture I have seen of this type of coin. Great find.

Here is a pic of the mint mark. I think it's called that because the large was stamped 1st then the small after.[IMG]

What do you mean by junk bowl? At your local coin shop?

Why not just answer the question? I notice all of the 'regulars' are not answering me anymore. I must be "boycotted" for some reason. Guess it was from when I jumped on the "new user" who asked about the error coin that was obvious PMD......along with the previous 15 "new users" who were doing the same thing. I notice it's not happening much now. Wonder why.

It's the bargain bowl Steve. The place where the dealer throws all of his worthless junk......and many times a place to pickup a terrific bargain. :) Sometimes called the 'junk bin'.

Steve. I think from a coin shop or a bourse table at a show.

I'm Sorry Steve I could not log in. I kept trying to reset my password and just found that i had cointalk on my block list. But yes it was from a B/M and yes the junk bin. I look there some time to see if I can cherry pick it.
